مستخلص: This paper includes the implementation of a mixer with Kurtz above-band double balanced quad using a 0.15 µm GaN pHEMT MMIC process. In this arrangement, a Marchand balun of type modified is used to boost performance, port-to-port isolation, matching, and intermediate frequency (IF) extraction. The EM simulated down-conversion gain is superior to -15 dB, while the LO-to-IF and LO-to-RF port-to-port isolation is better than 25 dB and 15 dB, respectively. The obtained results considerably excel the other works in the literature, thereby marking as an efficient competitor in the domain of down-converting applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
