| Abstract (English): |
Privacy is a basic human need that was deeply grounded in different cultures. In Islamic culture, privacy is one of the most important necessities that Islamic legislation maintained, and on which houses and cities were built. Few studies have attempted to clarify the notion of privacy and how it was achieved in Muslim houses, but the notion of women’s privacy in the house remains ambiguous in Islamic culture. Thus, the purpose of this study is to develop the notion of women’s privacy at home and how it can be achieved in Islamic culture. The study adopted the ethnographic archival research method. Islamic texts were gathered and analyzed to describe the woman’s house during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as well as her need for privacy in the house and the mechanisms for achieving it. In addition, the architecture of the house was analyzed to explore the mechanisms that were used to achieve women’s privacy at the time. The study offered a model for the notion of women’s privacy in the home and the mechanisms for achieving it at the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

ملخص البحث. اخلصوصية حاجة إنسانية أساسية متجذرة يف نفوس الناس، ومتأصلة يف ثقافات الشعوب ًا كب ًريا، وبنيت املختلفة. ويف ثقافة املسلمني تعد اخلصوصية من املبادئ التي أوالها الترشيع اإلسالمي اهتامم عىل أساسها املساكن واملدن. وألمهية خصوصية املسكن يف الثقافة اإلسالمية، حاول بعض الدراسات توضيح مفهوم اخلصوصية وآليات حتقيقها يف مساكن املسلمني. ومع ذلك، ال يزال هناك عدم وضوح يف مفهوم خصوصية املرأة يف املسكن يف الثقافة اإلسالمية. لذلك، هيدف هذا البحث إىل صياغة مفهوم خلصوصية املرأة يف املسكن وآليات حتقيقها يف ثقافة املسلمني. وقد أُجري البحث باستخدام املنهج االثنوجرايف الوثائقي، حيث ُج ِّ عت النصوص الرشعية وحللت؛ لوصف التكوين املعامري للمسكن الذي سكنته املرأة يف عهد الرسول ُ حممد صلى الله عليه وسلم، وفهم خصوصية املرأة فيه، واستكشاف آليات حتقيقها. كام حِّلل الوصف املعامري ملسكن املرأة يف العهد النبوي؛ للكشف عن آليات حتقيق اخلصوصية فيه. وقد نتج عن البحث نموذج يوضح مفهوم خصوصية املرأة يف املسكن وآليات حتقيقها يف عهد رسول اهلل.
