Deaf individuals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia face many challenges in the labour market, which limits their opportunities for career empowerment. The current study; therefore, aimed to identify the challenges of job empowerment for Deaf individuals in the Saudi labour market and to reveal the most prominent mechanisms for activating it for Deaf individuals from their point of view. To achieve the study objectives, the two researchers relied on the qualitative approach, and the interview was used as a tool to collect the opinions of the study sample consisting of (12) respondents from Deaf employees in Jeddah, who were intentionally selected from the Deaf community. The study results showed that the most prominent challenges to the employment empowerment of Deaf individuals are poor communication, the lack of sign language interpreters, and the presence of a work environment that is not compatible with the capabilities of Deaf individuals, in addition to many economic challenges. The study also revealed the diverse mechanisms used by Deaf individuals to activate their job empowerment in the Saudi labour market. The study recommended the need to activate effective work policies that help enhance the job empowerment of deaf individuals in the labour market. These measures aim to remove the obstacles facing Deaf individuals in the labour market and enhance their opportunities for job empowerment and professional stability. Additionally, the study highlighted the need for more studies on a larger sample to better understand the functional needs of Deaf individuals and develop effective strategies to enhance their vocational empowerment. يواجه األف ارد ال صم في المملكة العربية السعودية تحديات عديدة في سوق العمل، مما يحد من فرصهم في التمكين الوظيفي. لذلك، هدفت الد ارسة الحالية إلى التعرف على تحديات التَم كِين الو ظِي فِي لألف ارد ال صُّم في سوق العمل السعودي والكشف عن أبرز آليات تفعيله لألف ارد ال صم من وجهة نظرهم. ولتحقيق أهداف الد ارسة، اعتمدت الباحثتان على المنهج النوعي، واُستخدمت المقابلة أداة لجمع آارء عينة الد ارسة المكونة من (12) مشارك من الموظفين ال صُّم بمدينة جدة، والذين تم اختيارهم بطريقة قصدية من مجتمع ال صُّم . وأظهرت نتائج الد ارسة أن أبرز تحديات التَم كِين الو ظِي فِي لألف ارد ال صُّم تتمثل في ضعف التواصل، وعدم توفر مترجمي لغة اإلشارة ووجود بيئة عمل غير متوافقة مع قدارت األف ارد ال صم، باإلضافة إلى تحديات اقتصادية عديدة. كما كشفت الد ارسة عن تنوع اآلليات التي يستخدمها األف ارد ال صُّم لمحاولة تفعيل تمكينهم الوظيفي في سوق العمل السعودي. وأوصت الد ارسة بضرورة تفعيل سياسات عمل فعالة تُساعد في تعزيز التمكين الوظيفي لألف ارد ال صُّم في سوق العمل، وذلك إلازلة العوائق التي تواجههم أثناء العمل وتعزيز فرصهم في التمكين الوظيفي واالستق ارر المهني. مع الحاجة لمزيد من الد ارسات على عينة أكبر لفهم أفضل الحتياجات األف ارد ال صم الوظيفية وتطوير است ارتيجيات فعالة لتعزيز تمكينهم الوظيفي.
