مستخلص: Canoe slalom is a whitewater discipline in which athletes navigate gates over a turbulent river course. The sport includes different classes such as K1, C1, and C2, each with its own unique characteristics. While sprint canoeing receives more attention and research compared to canoe slalom, there is still interest in studying the performance of canoe slalom athletes. Recent studies have explored factors such as mechanical, physiological, and technical parameters, as well as the physical attributes necessary for success in female canoe slalom. Additionally, reliable flatwater performance tests have been developed to monitor changes in performance and identify asymmetries in canoe slalom athletes. Further research is needed to explore training methodologies, performance assessments, and the application of mathematical models to enhance our understanding and optimize athletic performance in canoe slalom.
