Currently, the use of dermal regeneration matrices in full-thickness burns is widely extended, and numerous studies have shown the improvement in flexibility and elasticity of the resulting skin compared to the use of autologous skin grafts alone. In this article, we present a patient who suffered a deep burn on the dorsal surface of his hand in a military context of the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine. After being evacuated to Spain, he was successfully treated at our centre with a dermal regeneration matrix covered with an autologous skin graft. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

Actualmente, el uso de matrices de regeneración dérmica en quemaduras de espesor completo está ampliamente extendido y numerosos estudios evidencian la mejoría en la flexibilidad y elasticidad de la piel resultante en relación con la aplicación de injertos laminares de piel autóloga únicamente. En este artículo presentamos a un paciente que sufrió una quemadura profunda en dorso de la mano en el contexto bélico del conflicto actual entre Rusia y Ucrania. Tras ser trasladado a España, fue tratado con éxito en nuestro centro mediante el uso de una matriz de regeneración dérmica cubierta con un injerto de piel autóloga. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
