مستخلص: A new generator family and truncated inverse Rayleigh odd Weibull exponential distribution as one of its members are presented. Various statistical features, linear representation, entropies, model of reliability stress strength, and reliability measures are provided. Depending on its parameters, the new distribution can have a failure rate that is increasing, decreasing, J, reversed-J, bathtub, or upside-down bathtub. The approach of maximum likelihood is used to estimate the unknown parameters. Then, the usefulness and flexibility of the novel distribution are assessed using simulation and real application to COVID-19 data. The outcomes clearly demonstrate that the new distribution outperforms competitor distributions for various compared information criteria, demonstrating its consistency and adaptability in performance as well as its suitability as the best model for representing Iraqi death cases of COVID-19.
