مستخلص: Aim: This research intends to think about the poly-translucent jewel (PCD) embed and cemented carbide(uncoated) addition to get the greatest material removal rate (MRR) to build the efficiency in the CNC turning process. Materials and methods: Martensitic and precipitation hardening steel grade 410 was investigated in this research. There were two different groups named as control group (uncoated cemented carbide insert) and experimental group (polycrystalline diamond insert). Cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut are the main parameters involved in the study. Machining of 27 samples per group was carried out by following the set parameters. Result: 0.0178752 g/s was obtained as PCD(mean MRR) insert whereas.00115850 g/s was obtained for uncoated insert. Among the experimental group and control group the significance value obtained is 0.024 (p<0.05). Conclusion: Inside the constraints of this work the MRR is higher when the workpiece is machined with the PCD embed than it is machined with an uncoated addition. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
