مستخلص: As the stability of the natural slope is disturbed by excavation activities for tunneling, stability analysis for tunnel portal design needs to be assessed. The safety rate of Tunnel 2 Bintang Bano Irrigation Area in West Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara slope design has not been calculated yet. This paper aims to model the stability of the slope specific in the tunnel outlet. The stability of outlet portal tunnel evaluated by limit equilibrium used Morgenstern-price and Bishop methods. Geological engineering conditions, material characteristics defined by lithology and weathering, and rock mass evaluated by Geological Strength Index (GSI) were considered as slope boundaries. The 2D model made in Slide 6.0 analyzed in static and pseudo-static conditions. The safety rate of slope design refers to SNI 8460:2017 about requirements for geotechnical design. The research area identified as volcanic landforms categorized as lava ridges with steep slopes. The lithology of the area is altered andesite with Tuff intercalation in certain areas. The outlet portal design determined as safe both in static with FoS≥ 1.5 (FoS=2.523 based on Morgenstern-price and FoS=2.273 based on Bishop method) and pseudo-static with FoS>1.1 (FoS=1.751 for Morgenstern-price and FoS=1.730 for Bishop method).
