مستخلص: This article, published in the journal Endoscopy, discusses the case of an 87-year-old patient with a large gastric GIST (gastrointestinal stromal tumor) that displayed risk factors on endoscopic ultrasound. The patient underwent endoscopic subserosal dissection using the Splash M Knife, followed by endoscopic suturing with the Apollo Overstitch. Due to the size of the lesion, sample fragmentation was necessary for oral extraction. The pathology report revealed a low-risk GIST. The article suggests that endoscopic treatment could be considered as an alternative for gastric GISTs larger than 3cm in individualized cases. [Extracted from the article]
