| Abstract (English): |
There is a close relationship between literature and education in terms of focusing on the individual, and developing and improving the individual in all respects. In this regard, it is possible to state that literature creates the necessary ground for education. It is also observed that some writers and poets have been trying to raise awareness of the society through literature. It can be stated that literature has turned into an awareness-raising tool especially in difficult times of the society. Especially the first quarter of the 20th Century is a period of vital ruptures and struggles for Turkish society. Writers cannot remain indifferent to the experiences of the society they are a member of and adopt an understanding of art highlighting the social aspect of literature. Mehmet Âkif Ersoy is also one of the artists who acted with the responsibility of intellectuals; while pointing out the traumas of his period in his works, he also depicts the ideal society he envisions. Mehmet Âkif, who associates Âsım and the youth identity in his imagination with the construction of society, shall be evaluated from the perspective of children and youth in this study. Within this context, the aim of the research is to determine the perception of primary, secondary, high school and university students, in other words, the younger generation's perception of Mehmet Âkif through metaphors. As one of the qualitative research methods, phenomenology was used in the study, and the collected data were analyzed by content analysis. Opinions of the participants about Mehmet Âkif are presented under three main headings as being metaphors, metaphor categories, and the comparison of categories by education levels. Bireyi odağa alma, onu her bakımdan geliştirme ve iyiye götürme uğraşı açısından edebiyat ile eğitim arasında sıkı bir bağ vardır. Bu bakımdan edebiyatın, eğitim için gerekli zemini yarattığını ifade etmek mümkündür. Hatta kimi yazar ve şairlerin edebiyat vasıtasıyla toplumu bilinçlendirme gayreti taşıdığı da görülmektedir. Özellikle toplumun geçtiği zor dönemlerde edebiyatın bir bilinçlendirme aracına dönüştüğü söylenebilir. XX. yüzyılın özellikle ilk çeyreği, Türk toplumu açısından hayati kırılmaların ve mücadelenin yaşandığı bir dönemdir. Yazarlar, bir üyesi oldukları toplumun yaşadıklarına kayıtsız kalamaz ve edebiyatın toplumsal yönünü öne çıkaran bir sanat anlayışı benimser. Mehmet Âkif Ersoy da aydın sorumluluğuyla hareket eden sanatçılardan biridir, eserlerinde döneminin travmalarına işaret ederken tasavvur ettiği ideal toplumu da resmeder. Âsım ile tasavvurundaki genç kimliğini, toplumun inşası ile ilişkilendiren Mehmet Âkif, bu çalışmada çocuk ve gençlerin bakış açısıyla değerlendirilecektir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın amacı, ilkokul, ortaokul, lise ve üniversite öğrencilerinin bir başka ifade ile genç neslin Mehmet Âkif'e yönelik algısını, metaforlar aracılığıyla tespit etmektir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan fenomenoloji kullanılmış, toplanan veriler içerik analiziyle çözümlenmiş; katılımcıların Mehmet Âkif ile ilgili görüşleri, metaforlar, metafor kategorileri, kategorilerin öğretim kademelerine göre karşılaştırılması olmak üzere üç ana başlık etrafında sunulmuştur.
