Aim: Objective: The study's objectives were to (1) To enhance efficient inhaler administration technique in asthma patients; (2) prevent long-term symptoms that interfere with daily activities; (3) achieve better control goals of asthma management; Methodology: An open-label prospective randomized study was conducted, to create the control and intervention groups, the selected patients were divided randomly. Inhaler device usage techniques have been addressed verbally with both groups; however, the intervention group was counselled using pictograms and ACT scores were used to evaluate their inhaler skills after a three-month follow-up period. Results: 163 patients were screened in total. Out of 117 patients, half were allocated to the intervention group (49.5%, n = 59) and the remaining half to the control group (50.4%, n = 58). The majority were female (56%). The demographic or initial differences between the randomization groups were not clinically significant. The mean ACT score was 16.3 (SD 2.3). In terms of age, gender, the existence of co-morbid conditions, education level, and smoking status, both groups were comparable. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that pictograms are excellent in communicating information about asthmatic patients' optimum inhaler usage. The inhaler pictograms investigated in this study are important tools for educating patients about techniques by emphasising the improper technique used by each patient. The pictogram offers a clear visual that may improve the patient's technique and act as a constant reminder of proper technique.
