مستخلص: Earthquakes cause damage to infrastructure, such as buildings. A good structural design is needed to reduce the destruction and can withstand earthquake loads. This study aimed to determine the behavior of the Steel Plate Shear Wall (SPSW) due to the effect of the number of perforations on the straight hole arrangement due to monotonic static loading. This research was conducted using a numerical method using the MSC Patran/Nastran. This plate uses variations in the number of holes with a diameter of 50 mm and has a plate thickness of 1 and 2 mm. The results showed that, first, every additional number of perforations the value of the load will decrease. Second, increasing the plate thickness from 1 mm to 2 mm. increases the load capacity that can be achieved at a drift of 4%. Third, the stiffness of the structure decreases with the size of the given perforation. Finally, the initial stress distribution in each model occurs on the diagonal tension side of the shear wall plate and then spreads to all parts of the shear wall plate. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
