مستخلص: This article discusses the surgical treatment of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) at a single center. The study analyzed 54 patients who underwent surgery between 2012 and 2023. The majority of patients were highly symptomatic and had severe mitral valve regurgitation. The surgical procedures performed included myectomy, mitral valve repair, and mitral valve replacement. Postoperative outcomes showed a significant reduction in left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) obstruction, and long-term follow-up demonstrated improved symptom relief and low mortality rates. The study concludes that surgical treatment for HOCM leads to favorable long-term survival. [Extracted from the article]
