مستخلص: This article examines the differences in aortic elasticity and histological patterns between male and female patients with aortopathy. The study included 96 patients who underwent thoracic aortic surgery, and measurements were taken using transthoracic echocardiography. The results showed that there were no significant differences in arterial distensibility, arterial strain, or most histological parameters between male and female patients. Therefore, the study suggests that changes in aortic elasticity and aortic wall patterns do not explain the higher risk of aortic dissection in female patients. [Extracted from the article]
