This article discusses the outcomes of a surgical procedure called the Commando procedure, which is used to treat pathologies involving the aortic and mitral valve, including the aorto-mitral curtain (AMC). The study analyzed the acute and midterm outcomes of 20 patients who underwent the Commando procedure at a single center. The most common surgical indication was endocarditis, and 60% of the procedures were reoperations. The study found acceptable 30-day mortality rates and anticipated long-term survival, along with postoperative complications and mortality rates.
