مستخلص: A cyclometalated iridium(III) complex bearing a self-immolative quinolinium moiety was developed as a ratiometric substrate for transfer hydrogenation studies. This photoluminescent probe allowed the rapid screening of a variety of Ir catalysts using a microplate reader, offering a convenient method to assess activity using a minimum amount of catalyst sample.
