مستخلص: Researchers from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, have released new data on situs inversus, a rare congenital disease that causes mirror transposition of the abdomino-thoracic structures. The researchers presented a case study of a 33-year-old patient with situs inversus who developed choledocholithiasis, or gallstones in the bile duct. The patient underwent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) procedures to remove the gallstones, and the treatment was successful with the complete removal of the stones and remission of symptoms. The patient was monitored for six months after the procedure and did not experience any further symptoms. [Extracted from the article]
