The article analyzes the position of women in the Church from a legal perspective, highlighting the role of Popes Paul VI, John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and Francis. It is mentioned that John Paul II recognized the role of women in important functions and Benedict XVI addressed the sexual condition of the human person. The desire of Pope Francis for women to have a leading role in the Church is emphasized. The assertion that women are superior to men is questioned, and the influence of clericalism on the position of the laity, especially women, in the Church is analyzed. The participation of the laity in the governance of the Church is discussed, and the implementation of mandatory quotas for women in ecclesiastical bodies is proposed. It is considered that the issue of the position of women in the governance of the Church has little relevance compared to the role of the laity. [Extracted from the article] |

El artículo analiza la posición de la mujer en la Iglesia desde una perspectiva legal, destacando el papel de los Papas Pablo VI, Juan Pablo II, Benedicto XVI y Francisco. Se menciona que Juan Pablo II reconoció el papel de las mujeres en funciones importantes y Benedicto XVI abordó la condición sexuada de la persona humana. Se destaca el deseo del Papa Francisco de que las mujeres tengan un papel protagonista en la Iglesia. Se cuestiona la afirmación de que las mujeres son superiores a los hombres y se analiza la influencia del clericalismo en la posición de los laicos, especialmente de las mujeres, en la Iglesia. Se discute la participación de los laicos en el gobierno de la Iglesia y se plantea la implementación de cuotas obligatorias para mujeres en los organismos eclesiásticos.
