مستخلص: A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Pretoria in South Africa examined the nutritional profile of yellow mealworm larvae (Tenebrio molitor) reared on four different substrates. The study found that wheat flour was the best alternative to wheat bran for mass rearing of mealworms, as it did not compromise their nutritional quality. The larvae were found to be rich in crude protein, major minerals, and fatty acids. This research suggests that yellow mealworm larvae could be a cost-effective and readily available ingredient for food and feed production. [Extracted from the article]
