The article is a review of a book that analyzes the reign of Alfonso XI and the role of women in medieval Iberia. The book highlights the Jewish legacy in Spain, the influence of al-Andalus in medieval science and astronomy, and the representation of Muslims and blacks in Hispanic art. It also addresses aspects related to medieval music, Hispanic liturgy, and the influence of medieval culture in the present day. The reconstruction of Mozarabic chant, the musical reproduction of the Cantigas, and the survival of elements of Visigothic religiosity in the present day are discussed. The cataloging of illuminated manuscripts, the digitization of documents, and the influence of medieval culture in Latin America are also mentioned. También aborda aspectos relacionados con la música medieval, la liturgia hispánica y la influencia de la cultura medieval en la actualidad.
