| Abstract (English): |
This paper focuses on the global protests that condemn the war on Gaza following the Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023. These protests were unprecedented in their broad scope and innovative forms. The paper argues that this protest movement is fundamentally memorydriven, as it represents an extension of the 2019-2020 demonstrations against racism and colonialism, utilizing and reusing mnemonic media and symbols. In contrast, this global surge of memory is facing official suppression of protest dynamics, employing mnemonic strategies used by authorities within memory policies. This is prominently illustrated through the German model, characterized by practices of silence, forgetting, and accompanying repressive measures falling under a culture of cancellation. زهير سوكاح تركز الورقة على الاحتجاجات العالمية ضد الحرب على غزة، التي أعقبت طوفان الأقصى في 7 أكتوبر 2023، وهي احتجاجات غير مسبوقة في رفعتها الواسعة ومظاهرها المبتكرة. تجادل الورقة بأن هذا الحراك الاحتجاجي هو ذاكري الطابع بالأساس، كونه يمثل امتدادا لتظاهرات 2019 - 2020 ضد العنصرية والكولونيالية، إذ يتم في هذا الحراك استخدام وإعادة استخدام وسائط ورموز ذاكرية في المقابل يواجه هذا الانبعاث العالمي للذاكرة قمعا رسميا لديناميات الاحتجاجات، يوظف بدوره أساليب ذاكرية تستند إليها السلطة في إطار سياسات الذاكرة، كما يبرز ذلك من خلال النموذج الألماني، عبر ممارسة الصمت والنسيان وما رافق ذلك من مظاهر قمعية تندرج تحت ثقافة الإلغاء.
