مستخلص: The article presents information on the role of attitudinal research in science education. Attitudinal research has been fairly well developed and implemented in social psychological studies. The central theme among researchers is that one's attitude is associated with one's beliefs (where beliefs correspond to knowledge or information about an object or social norm, principle, field of interest, specific content, etc.), intentions and behaviors with respect to a given object or experience. Professor Munby of Scientific Attitude Inventory, suggests that a conceptual reanalysis of the distinction between "attitudes to science" and "scientific attitudes" is required. Rather this will be helpful if the science educators consider whether or not their attitudinal instruments are developed in a manner consistent with the formal criteria and theoretical guidelines of social psychology in the validation process.
