مستخلص: The article talks about the evaluation of teacher education programs in physical education. The programs are being evaluated and the schools are not the only ones liable but also the teachers as well. The evaluation may be based on the quality of physical educators produced. The three strategies used for inquiry includes: analysis by checklist or scorecard, analysis by assessing competencies of graduates,and the analysis by categorizing problems encountered by graduates in their work performance. Training program standards were developed for some of the areas that include organization in teacher preparation, selection of students, curriculum, faculty qualifications, facilities and equipment, student teaching, and classification of professional preparation institutions.
