مستخلص: The article examines the fiscal policy of Russia concerning the oil and gas sectors during the economic transition. The authors call for the reductions in the tax burden on Russia's energy companies to ensure continued production growth. Russia registered a large variance in the estimates of the additional untaxed rent in extractive sectors. There is also confusion in the uses of the tax revenues filling the Stabilization Fund.
