مستخلص: The article presents a study on the effectiveness of block-word diagram on the structuring of science concepts as a function of general ability conducted in Calgary, Alberta. Hypotheses are examined which include the following: that Euclidean distance will diminish and comprehension scores will increment after instruction; that vital aptitude-treatment interactions will occur, the addition of diagram to text will facilitate high ability learners but no difference to low ability learners. Findings from the data of the ninth grade students showed that Euclidean distance indicated that comprehension was related to the ability of the subjects to organize concepts and the effect of the text-plus-diagram treatment in comparison to text-only varies for learners of different ability.
