The article focuses on the caretaker-child strategic model which Efe and Aka child rearing as exemplars of the multiple factors affecting child rearing. An interplay results in a caregiving strategy that best meets the several demands acting on and opportunities available to caregivers. Cooperation as a descriptor needs careful analysis from the strategic perspective becomes critical to understand whether the type of cooperation demanded by the Aka way of life is the same with Efe way of life. |
