The article reports on the Urban Health Partners program targeted at the Arab American population in Michigan. This population continues to grow and also includes Muslim and Chaldean communities. The public health resources available for this ethnic group are minimal. The Medical Library at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, is the only medical facility open to the public. The library staff initiated methods to organize health care professionals to create partnerships for effective health services. |
