The article discusses advances in the methods used by clinical practitioners of sports medicine to rehabilitate or prevent sports injuries. The importance of evidence-based practice and some of the difficulties in implementing it are addressed. The efforts of the "Journal of Sport Rehabilitation" to promote best practices through a series of clinical reviews and meta-studies focused on clinical outcomes are described. These initiatives are designed to help clinicians make greater use of relevant research, and researchers to increase their production of clinically relevant information. |
