The author reflects on the 7th International Conference on Computation in Electromagnetics (CEM) held in Brighton, England in April 2008. He thinks that the developments in the field of CEM as applied to the interaction of electromagnetic fields with structures of wide ranging electrical size. He implies that compared to computation fluid dynamics and structural analysis, CEM is relatively immature, the high frequency application only emerging in production form in the 90s. |
