The article presents a discussion on the flagship state universities and the historical black colleges on their success in enrolling low-income students in the U.S. It also examines the performance of the large flagship state universities. The data received by the Journal of Blacks in Higher Education (JBHE) from the U.S. Department of Education shows that there was a very large disparity in the performance among the flagship state universities in the 2006-2007 academic year. |
