The article focuses on the issue of speech difficulties in children Northern Ireland raised by Mervyn Storey of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) during oral questions in Ulster Assembly on May 11, 2009. Three percent of children in the country met the criteria for specialist help, according to Michael McGimpsey, minister of health, social services and public safety.
