مستخلص: This paper deals with a position sensorless fuzzy logic control approach allowing the damping of a stepping motor position evolution. The fuzzy logic controller uses the back EMF voltages and the back EMF change as inputs to avoid the use of a position sensor which is cumbersome and very expensive. Moreover, a nonlinear observer is proposed in order to estimate the motor `s back EMF voltages from the motor statoric currents and voltages. The performances of the sensorless position fuzzy logic controller and the nonlinear observer are tested by numerical simulations. The obtained results show the efficiency of the proposed control law. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
