مستخلص: This article presents information about historic artifacts that were found to have washed up on the beaches at Cape Lookout National Seashore in North Carolina. Shanna Ramsey of the National Park Service found ceramic jars on the beach in 1994 after a storm had caused erosion and deposition in the area. The staff at the Resource Management facility in the park examined and preserved the jars. Two more similar jars were found in the area in 2003 after Hurricane Isabel passed through. Investigation showed the jars to be of Spanish origin and the contents to be olive pits.
