The article presents an outlook on the condition of inflation in New Zealand in 2012. It expects that the average consumer price inflation will reach 4.2 percent in 2011 and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand will target inflation at 1-3 percent over the business cycle. It also anticipates favorable base effects of that policy change designed to ease average annual inflation to 2.1 percent.
