The article discusses the role of crowdfunding models on financing technology startups. It highlights New York City-based website Kickstarter founded to support creative projects which is now used by entrepreneurs to raise money at a time to develop products. It states that crowdfunding offers an alternative way of raising startup funds for certain type of businesses such as Web design firms.
