مستخلص: The article presents a study which aims at analyzing the perception of Muslim athletes related to sports performance, dietary patterns, training and sleep during Ramadan fasting. It explains the methodology of the study which was conducted on 734 Malaysian junior-level Muslim athletes during the month of Ramadan. It revealed that around 24 percent of athletes perceived that Ramadan fasting had an adverse effect on their sports performance and training and also caused sleepiness during daytime.
