Presents a study that collected spatially resolved soft x-ray spectra for neon plasmas produced by imploding hollow annular gas puffs with MA level driving currents. Examination of the Z-pinch imploded plasmas for different risetime currents; Achievement of absolute energies for the radiation emitted in the neon IX and neon X discrete transitions; Improvement of the plasma uniformity inferred from spatially resolved spectral lines. |
