مستخلص: Solid polymer electrolytes based on polyethylene glycol (PEG) complexed with sodium chloride (NaCl) at different weight percent ratios were prepared using solution cast technique. Measurement of DC conductivity in the temperature range 303-373 K shows that the conductivity increases with increase in concentration of salt and with increase in temperature. Transference number measurent has been employed to investigate the charge transport in the polymer electrolyte system. This data has shown that the charge transport in the polymer electrolyte system is predominantly due to ions. Using this polymer electrolyte, solid state electrochemical cells have been fabricated. Various cell parameters associated with these cells were evaluated and reported. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
