مستخلص: A series of six studies has shown that cefadroxil has a longer duration of action than does either cephalexin or cephradine, owing to its relatively slow rate of excretion in the urine and slightly slower rate of absorption from the gastrointestinal tract. More than 95% of the cefadroxil administered in these studies was excreted within 24 h. All three drugs were well tolerated; the few side effects reported were limited to the gastrointestinal tract.
