For the first time, long-term use of regional citrate anticoagulation for high-flux haemodialysis is reported in a patient with heparin-induced thrombocytopenia type II. A simple, flow-independent, citrate infusion protocol allowed efficient anticoagulation. Excellent solute removal, indicated by KT/V values of 1.52 to 1.98, was achieved. Electrolyte and acid-base balance as well as calcium homeostasis were well controlled over a period of 9 months. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

Bei einer Patientin mit Heparin-induzierter Thrombopenie Typ II wird erstmalig die Langzeitanwendung regionaler Zitratantikoagulation für die High-Flux Hämodialyse beschrieben. Durch ein einfaches, blutflußunabhängiges, Zitratinfusionsprotokoll wurde effizient antikoaguliert. Werte für das KT/V von 1.52 bis 1.98 wurden erreicht, was auf eine exzellente Stoffelimination hinweist. Der Elektrolyt- und Säure-Basen Haushalt und die Kalziumhomeostase waren im Beobachtungszeitraum von neun Monaten gut eingestellt. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
