مستخلص: The article focuses on a research related to analysis of infants born from 1999 to 2011 in the Dominican Republic (DR), to asses the progress towards elimination of HIV mother-to-child transmission (MTCT). The research reports that MTCT rate was 11.1 percent during 1999-2008 and four percent during 2009-2011. It also reports that declines in proportions of women who received no prenatal antiretrovirals is from 31.9 percent to 12.2 percent.
