مستخلص: The seed oil of Balanites aegyptiaca L. (Delile) which is known as Desert date was subjected to the preliminary phytochemical screening and evaluation of the antihaemorrhagic activity. The seed oil was subjected to preliminary phytochemical screening followed by HPLC and LC-MS/MS analyses to develop a finger print chromatogram. The studies on the phytochemical screening of the seed oil methanolic extract revealed the presence of flavonoids, phytosterols, carbohydrates, proteins and glycosides. Different doses of seed oil of Balanites aegyptiaca L. Del were tested and found to protect the mice from intradermal haemorrhage induced by Vipera russellii venom. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
