مستخلص: The guiding philosophy, conceptual model, methods, and programmatic mechanisms used within one federal agency to translate mental health services research into everyday, real-world mental health practice are presented. The experiences described reflect the perspectives of 3 federal staff working in the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), within the US Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Relevant institutional history is provided as background and rationale for the methods used to move science into practice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
