The article discusses research which investigated the collapse resistance of the high frequency electrical resistance welded (HF-ERW) pipeline installed in deepwater by reel laying (R-lay). Topics discussed include an analysis of the collapse pressure and mechanism of pipelines, applicability of conventional collapse formulas for pipes after reeling and preparation of test pipes with plastic strain hysteresis in R-lay. |
