The article explores the Anishinaabeg people and their ecological practices of harvesting, cooking and preserving blueberries. Particular focus is given to how this relates to art and art education. Additional topics discussed include the transference of knowledge, the history of harvesting wild blueberries and depictions of blueberries in works by artists including Patrick DesJarlait and Bambi Goodwin. |
