مستخلص: We experimentally assessed the efficacy of two online instructional methods, guided inquiry and video, on learning and conceptual change, while also examining the relationship of student characteristics to these outcomes. Results indicate an interaction between mindset and instructional method for learning; additional learner characteristics may also influence the efficacy of these instructional methods. Overall, misconceptions were resistant to change. Implications for online instruction and future directions for research are explored. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
