| Abstract (English): |
The article presents a study on the structural evaluation of the Perla de Cuba hotel in Santiago de Cuba. The building shows a high level of deterioration and the ETABS software version 18 was used to evaluate its structural safety. It is concluded that the building is not suitable to withstand seismic loads and it is recommended to carry out a seismic-resistant structural rehabilitation. The study includes information on the modeling of the walls and foundation, as well as the evaluation of the building's conservation status. The tests carried out to develop the structural diagnosis are also mentioned, and the structural capacity of the building is evaluated. [Extracted from the article] |

El artículo presenta un estudio sobre la evaluación estructural del hotel Perla de Cuba en Santiago de Cuba. El edificio muestra un alto nivel de deterioro y se utilizó el software ETABS versión 18 para evaluar su seguridad estructural. Se concluye que el edificio no es adecuado para resistir cargas sísmicas y se recomienda llevar a cabo una rehabilitación estructural sismorresistente. El estudio incluye información sobre la modelación de los muros y la cimentación, así como la evaluación del estado de conservación del edificio.
