| Abstract (English): |
The article describes the obtaining of recombinant green fluorescent protein (GFP) and its polyclonal IgY antibody. GFP is widely used in in vivo and in vitro assays, and variants of this protein have been generated to diversify its characteristics. In Colombia, the supplies for its study are expensive and must be imported. The work presents the cloning and expression of the recombinant 6xHisEGFP protein, as well as the production of avian polyclonal antibodies (IgY) against EGFP. This strategy represents an advancement in the development of a biotechnological system for the national production of low-cost molecular tools. [Extracted from the article] |

El artículo describe la obtención de la proteína verde fluorescente recombinante (GFP) y su anticuerpo policlonal IgY. La GFP es ampliamente utilizada en ensayos in vivo e in vitro y se han generado variantes de esta proteína para diversificar sus características. En Colombia, los insumos para su estudio son costosos y deben ser importados. El trabajo presenta la clonación y expresión de la proteína recombinante 6xHisEGFP, así como la producción de anticuerpos policlonales aviares (IgY) contra la EGFP. Esta estrategia constituye un avance en el desarrollo de un sistema biotecnológico para la producción nacional de herramientas moleculares a bajo costo. [Extracted from the article] |
