| Abstract (English): | The purpose of this paper is to present an original literary analysis from the perspective of both a common, intuitive reader, and a knowledgeable reader, with an academic research background in Swift’s works, of Swift’s short story Bruises, published in 2023 in The New Yorker. Bruises can be considered a very good example of short story and of fictional universe specific to and familiar for readers with Swift’s work yet, at the same time, still surprising and challenging expectations, as well as the story pattern he creates himself in other works. The main aspect lies in the use of the keywords, which are meaningful words, from where free associations and various connotations can be started. The short story becomes, thus, able to maintain the readers’ interest through its special, unusual construction based on what the author of the present paper has called keywords. | Abstract (French): | Le but de cet article est de présenter une analyse littéraire originale du point de vue à la fois d'un lecteur commun et intuitif et d'un lecteur averti, ayant une formation en recherche universitaire sur les œuvres de Swift, de la nouvelle de Swift Bleus, publiée en 2023 dans The New Yorker. Bleus peut être considérée comme un très bon exemple de nouvelle et d’univers fictif spécifique et familier aux lecteurs de l’œuvre de Swift mais, en même temps, toujours surprenant et défiant les attentes, ainsi que le modèle d’histoire qu’il crée lui-même dans d’autres œuvres. L'aspect principal réside dans l'utilisation des mots-clés, qui sont des mots significatifs, à partir desquels peuvent naître des associations libres et des connotations diverses. La nouvelle devient ainsi capable de maintenir l’intérêt du lecteur grâce à sa construction particulière et inhabituelle basée sur ce que l’auteur du présent article a appelé des mots-clés. | Abstract (Romanian): | Scopul acestui articol este de a prezenta o analiză literară originală din perspectiva atât a unui cititor comun, intuitiv, cât și a unui cititor informat, cu un background de cercetare academică în lucrările lui Swift, a nuvelei lui Swift, Vânǎtǎi, publicată în 2023 în „The New Yorker”. Vânătăi poate fi considerat un exemplu foarte bun de nuvelă și de univers ficțional specific și familiar pentru cititorii operei lui Swift, dar, în același timp, încă surprinzând așteptările, precum și modelul de poveste pe care și-l creează el însuși ca autor în alte scrieri. Principalul aspect constă în folosirea cuvintelor cheie, care au un anumit sens, de unde pot porni asocieri libere și diverse conotații. Nuvela devine, astfel, capabilă să mențină interesul cititorilor prin construcția sa specială, neobișnuită, bazată pe ceea ce autorul prezentului articol a numit cuvinte-cheie.
