مستخلص: High-quality cadmium selenide (CdSe) quantum dots (QDs) with good thermal stability were prepared by using liquid paraffin as a solvent and oleic acid as a ligand under relative low temperatures. Moreover, the as-prepared CdSe quantum dots were embedded into the porous polystyrene (PS) beads to fabricate optically encoded beads, which suggests their promising application in multiplexed bioassays.
